Delivery & Collection Policy

1. About This Policy

This Delivery & Collection Policy explains how vehicles are fulfilled following purchase or sale through Motorflog Ltd (“Motorflog”, “we”, “us”, “our”) via www.motorflog.co.uk (“Website”).

2. Buy It Now Purchases

All vehicles purchased through our Buy It Now service are:

  • Sold on a collection-only basis
  • Not available for delivery

Booking Collection

After purchase:

  • Buyers must book a collection slot via our Website
  • Collection is arranged through our booking system

Instructions will be provided following payment.

Collection Timeframe

  • Buyers receive 4 calendar days free storage, starting the day after purchase
  • Vehicles must be collected within this period

Storage Charges

If a vehicle is not collected within the free period:

  • Storage charges apply at £15 + VAT (£18) per day

Failure to Collect

If a vehicle is not collected:

  • Storage charges will continue to accrue
  • Where storage charges exceed the value of the vehicle, we reserve the right to:
    • Resell the vehicle
    • Recover outstanding costs

Collection Requirements

When collecting a vehicle, you must:

  • Bring the sales PDF/invoice
  • Follow the booking time provided
  • Ensure suitable transport for removal of the vehicle

Vehicles may:

  • Be non-running
  • Require recovery or transport

3. Auction Purchases

Vehicles purchased via auction through IAA:

  • Must be collected in accordance with auction terms
  • Collection must be arranged via the Motorflog website booking system

To arrange collection:

  • Buyers are required to create or have an active Motorflog account
  • Collection cannot be completed without a confirmed booking

Storage and collection conditions may vary depending on the auction platform, however:

  • Motorflog’s booking and collection process must be followed

4. Flog It (Seller Vehicles)

For vehicles submitted through Flog It:

  • Vehicles must be:
    • Dropped off at our site, or
    • Collected via arrangements made with Motorflog

Unsold Vehicles

If a vehicle does not sell:

  • Sellers have 4 calendar days free storage, starting the day after the final auction cycle
  • After this:
    • Storage charges apply at £15 + VAT (£18) per day

Sellers are responsible for arranging collection of unsold vehicles.

5. Sell My Car

For vehicles sold directly to Motorflog:

  • Collection may be arranged by Motorflog, or
  • Vehicles may be delivered to our site by the seller

Details will be agreed during the sale process.

6. General Conditions

  • All collections must be booked in advance
  • Vehicles must be collected within agreed timeframes
  • We reserve the right to:
    • Refuse release of vehicles without valid booking
    • Apply storage charges where applicable

7. Booking System & Collection Appointments

All vehicle collections must be booked through the Motorflog website using our online booking system.

Booking Requirements

  • Customers must be logged into a Motorflog account to make a booking
  • Each vehicle can only have one active booking at any time
  • Bookings are only available once the vehicle is ready for collection

Booking Process

Customers can:

  • Select an available collection date
  • Choose from available time slots
  • Manage bookings via their account

Availability is limited and operates on a first-come, first-served basis.

Slot Availability

  • Collection slots are limited per time period
  • Fully booked slots will not be available for selection
  • We reserve the right to manage and adjust availability as required

Rescheduling & Cancellations

Customers may reschedule or cancel bookings at any time through their account prior to the scheduled appointment.

Missed Appointments

If you fail to attend a booked collection:

  • A £15 + VAT (£18) no-show fee will be charged before a new booking can be made
  • You must contact us via LiveChat or email at sales@motorflog.co.uk to arrange rebooking
  • The fee must be paid before the vehicle is released

Repeated failure to attend bookings may result in restricted access to collection services.

System Restrictions

To ensure fairness and prevent misuse:

  • Each vehicle registration can only be booked once
  • Multiple bookings for the same vehicle are not permitted
  • Access to booking requires an active account

We reserve the right to:

  • Cancel or amend bookings where misuse is identified
  • Refuse future bookings until any outstanding fees are settled
